Philippians 2:9-11 NKJV – Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father

I can attest that there truly is power in the name of Jesus.  The power of Jesus is ongoing and available for all those who seek it.  Jesus power is greater than anything that you are facing, over anything that comes against you; it’s greater than your fears, it’s greater than your worries, and it’s greater than circumstances that burden you.

Jesus has Lordship over all things.  “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority have been given to Me in heaven and earth.” (Matthew 28:18 NKJV) This authority has been given to Jesus from the Father.  All authority means all things are subject to Jesus Name; both big things and small things.  Jesus has authority over all.

There are victories already won by the authority of Jesus.  Victories over sin and temptation, over the enemy, even over death.  It’s by the cross of Christ that believers can receive the same victory to overcome the same things.  “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world – our faith. Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?” (1 John 5:4-5 NKJV)

Friend, today I share with you the majesty, the power, and the authority of Jesus Christ.  The life we live can be either be victorious in Christ or not.  The choice is up to us and where we place our faith.  Do we place our faith in the One who has overcome all things on our behalf and who is seated on the throne at that right hand of God the Father? Or do we place our faith in the things of this world that will not last?  “In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ” (1 Peter 1:5-7 NKJV) I’ve been told and now have learned that when I face things that I can’t understand or when I feel overwhelmed, I simply speak the Name of Jesus.  Over and over again, either audibly or in my mind’s ear, I keep repeating His Name.  And after a little while, I feel the love and the power, and the presence of Jesus.  And what I’m facing at that moment seems to simply drift away.

Glorious Lord, Your Name is above every name.  You are the authority over all things.  We give You praise.  Every knee shall bow at the utterance of Your Name.  Lord, thank You for being the authority we can call upon.  Thank You that simply speaking Your Name, You respond in rescue, restoration, healing and deliverance.  May we make the correct choice and place our faith in You Jesus and not in the world.  To the glory and praise and honor of Your Name, Jesus.  AMEN

Don’t believe me, believe God!
