Daniel 10:12 NKJV – Praying Through and Breaking Through

Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words.”

Wow. Imagine being able to talk with an angel. Here we see that Daniel was able to have a conversation, though short, with an angel who came to tell him not to be afraid. The angel had to come to settle Daniel’s heart and to reveal to him that spiritual warfare was being waged beyond Daniel’s understanding. The angel reveals the way Daniel’s prayers were processed. We learn here that it wasn’t until the 21st day that Daniel experienced the breakthrough. That is what Daniel faced. His prayer was at war. We are reminded in Ephesians 6:12,For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.”

But here is the encouraging thing about this event, Daniel’s prayer was heard before the words even passed through his mouth or his voice, and God began to move on his behalf.

We, too, in our time of need, must continue in prayer until God brings the breakthrough. Does God hear us the first time we pray? Yes He does and every time after that. But God moves to answer your prayer even before you can comprehend His action. God loves you and cares for you so much that He moves on your behalf right away. God is already in your tomorrows; placing things and events and people in place to see that your prayer is answered. Will it take 21 days? I don’t know. But what I know is we can’t quit before we see the breakthrough. We can pray in holy confidence, knowing that with each prayer we are one prayer closer. Like with Daniel, that answer is on the way. Let’s keep on keeping on. Let’s keep praying!

Holy Lord, thank You for hearing each one of our prayers even before we pray and moving on them immediately. Though we may need to wait, help us understand that Your answer is coming and to continue in prayer until You bring the breakthrough. Help us, Lord, to never quit on You because You never quit on us. We love You Lord and pray in Your Name, Jesus. AMEN

Don’t believe me, believe God!
