Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” How much can we believe? How much could we experience if we believed as God intends for us to believe. I must confess I do not believe at times as God intends for me to believe. I allow the world and the external influences of the world to affect me. At times I feel defeated, afraid, confused, bound up, and ineffective. These are emotions of the enemy. We are to resist the devil so that he flees from us. I know what God’s Word says, but at times I choose to not remember the promises.
Moses once asked God a question. He asked, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM.” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’” I thought of this question the other day and was brought to asking myself a question. If God said to Moses, “I Am who I Am” how can I question God’s ability to lead me into greater things?
It’s all in the choice. Do we choose to make the right choice and believe as God intends. Do we place ourselves in the position to believe or do we continually allow the enemy to choose our path? Tough questions. I know. I struggle with keeping myself on the steps that God has ordered for me.
God intends for us to live the life He has designed for us. He gives us His strength, His wisdom, His authority, and His power to live and impact a world. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. We are made in His image and He has given us His Holy Spirit. We have resurrection power to look at every situation with the eyes of the Lord.
Friend, my prayer for you is for your belief to increase. My prayer for you is for you to walk in Spirit fullness; for God to lead you on a journey of greater joy, greater impact, greater favor, greater power, and a greater anointing for His glory.
Don’t believe me. Believe God!
